Khansaheb wins third place prize for the Pioneering Construction Project of the Year

Khansaheb Construction's flagship project of 2022- the University of Birmingham Dubai Campus has been awarded the third place prize for the Pioneering Construction Project of the Year at the Excellence and Creative Engineering Awards 2022.

Winners of the inaugural Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum 'Excellence and Creative Engineering Award' were honoured at a special ceremony held in Dubai.

These awards are aimed at nurturing a culture of innovation and competitiveness in engineering and design.
 
During the ceremony, Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Supreme President of the Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Distinguished Academic Performance, was joined by Engineer Abdulla Yousef Al Ali, President of the Society of Engineers, Rashad Bukhash, Chairman of the Award's Higher Committee and other senior officials.
 
The awards were presented in two main categories - Institutions and Pioneering Engineering Projects - and eight sub-categories.

Designed by Hopkins Architects and built by Khansaheb, the buildings overlook parkland and natural spaces. They reflect the ‘green heart’ of the University’s campus in Birmingham, giving the student community a complete campus university experience.

Opened in April 2022, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, the campus marks the next stage in the University’s long-term commitment to supporting the position of Dubai as a regional hub for world-class higher education.
