Khansaheb has won two awards at the 2022 Innovation in Construction Awards, securing a win in the ‘Infrastructure Project of the Year’ category and a highly commended award for the ‘Fit-Out Contractor of the Year’.
The Innovation in Construction awards, organised by Construction Business News Middle East, celebrate individual excellence, corporate strengths, and project success. The winners are chosen by an independent panel of judges with extensive construction and regional experience.
Khansaheb’s University of Birmingham project was awarded the ‘Infrastructure Project of the Year’ award on the criteria of innovation, industry best practice, health and safety implementation and sustainability practices. Designed by Hopkins Architects and built by Khansaheb, the buildings overlook parkland and natural spaces. They reflect the ‘green heart’ of the University’s campus in Birmingham, giving the student community a complete campus university experience.
Opened in April 2022, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, the campus marks the next stage in the University’s long-term commitment to supporting the position of Dubai as a regional hub for world-class higher education.
Khansaheb Interiors won the highly commended trophy for the Fit-Out Contractor of the year. Through what has been a challenging year for the industry, the company successfully delivered several high-end projects including the Dubai Mall lower ground enhancement works and the Bab al Shams Desert Resort.
